You know that saying about the end not justifying the means? That would probably be your motto if you failed to sacrifice and work hard just a little bit more to get over the ordeal that is school. A dissertation , or a research, or a thesis, is already an accepted part of finishing a degree: so deal with it. You can’t do anything to remove it from the system, so you might as well take it as a challenge and start working on it. But where are you to start?

First of all, the very reason why you are required to complete a research is to see whether you have absorbed the lessons your professors have taught you. So dig up those old notebooks, and look for any tiniest bit of idea that would soon turn into a good idea for a research. If that first option fails, it is the best time to hit the library and convince yourself that spending some time there would not give everyone the idea that you are a geek or something. Reading could fill your minds with ideas, and it is only through your creativity that can turn those ideas into a good research.

Look around you. Any source of problem is a source of a research. From there, you can start researching and eventually find a practical solution to it. Just give some of your extra time and put your interest in research, and you will see results in the future that could make you more proud of yourself.
